Conductive conductivity measurement: Skilled in many applications

The measurement of conductive conductivity is used in many applications and is after pH the second most important parameter in analytic measurements. This is particularly true of SMARTPAT COND and OPTISENS COND sensors.

The large selection of cell constants and different electrode materials mean they can be successfully applied to anything like aggressive media or from ultrapure water to potable water. Additionally due to the innovative SMARTPAT technology the SMARTPAT COND sensors can be directly connected to any common process control system using industry standard communication like 4…20 mA/HART®. They are hence easy to integrate into any plant infastructure.

The robust connector of the OPTISENS COND 1200 is standardised for most common sensor holders. The unique electronic design, including temperature compensation, guarantees high reliability wherever it’s applied.

For example, the conductive conductivity cell OPTISENS COND 1200 with a cell constant of c=0.01 is used in ultrapure water production via reverse osmosis. Another application is the detection of leaks by measuring the differential conductivity in power plants.

OPTISENS COND 1200 can also be used to control water purification in cooling water cycles to avoid corrosion of the power generators.

Inductive conductivity measurement: Resistant to dirt

The OPTISENS IND 1000 sensor can safely be used for conductivity measurements in aggressive and corrosive media like industrial wastewater, sea water and acidic solutions.

Why? Because the measuring electrodes of the OPTISENS IND 1000 sensors are completely sealed and have no direct contact with media. We also use tough chemical and dirtresistant materials, such as PEEK and PP.

So, thanks to the OPTISENS IND 1000’s rugged design and special materials, the sensors have long life span and are practically maintenance free.

Reliable measurement
Using the OPTISENS IND 1000 also means reliable measurement is guaranteed. We have incorporated a fast responding temperature sensor to make sure that changes in process would not affect the integrity of the measurement signals.
